Aiden let out a small grunt in protest at Charani, as he felt a surge in nerves in his dream body before everything seemed to settle. Right, right there needed to be some drama in their B plot. Aiden was already over it though. He’d spent half a year steeped in emotional drama; he didn’t need to relieve it in a different kind of way. “At this rate I’d fuckin’ welcome it…” the redhead grumbled as their DM carried on. He almost wished the dream would spit them back out for this. Then again, he was a knight. He had to stick it out. They were trying to help one of their comrades after all. [break][break]
He seemed to frown at the hand waiving of his choice, but it was probably better in the long run. He really didn’t want to be here any longer than he had to. “Sure, sure.” The boy went along with. “How are the casters feeling? I know you guys can’t exactly pop back up pretty quickly.” Aiden said looking over at the group. Mainly their fearless leader. “Any words from our glass canon?” he asked, eyeing the President. “If it’s a time thing we can go to the inn, but if we can I’d like to at least get a feel of the place before we tap out for the night. Give us something to think on.” He added. One would notice, the redhead couldn’t help but type out furious notes on his phone listing out the meager details he’d learned and collected from being around the group. It was surprisingly studious of his character, but deep down Aiden was kind of an excitable nerd when it came to table tops rpgs. He couldn’t help it when he heard and watched snippets of it himself. This was the only plus of existing in this shonen sit com of a dream. [break][break]
“Yo!” Aiden called out to the NPC guards before waving at them casually. “We’ve got- we’ve got money to burn right?” he asked the party. “At least, I know Charani has some, right?” he added wit ha grin as put an arm over the other boy’s shoulder and grinned at him. ‘What’s that fucker mumbling about now? I think I misheard him.’ The redhead sent as the hand around Charani’s shoulder curled tightly. His index finger strummed their fate string, and feeling it vibrate a little he calmed down. Just a slight bit. Once again, he felt himself oscillating between breaking character and fighting whatever spell guardian this Paradise had or continuing to play along no matter how annoying. Not the best attitude for someone from his coven, but then again, was it any worse than the other members?
"I just came here to the party for the drugs Not here to make a friend or fall in love"
“I think we are good. Though I don’t think we have a ton of money to burn in game at least.” His boyfriend said as he looked through the inventory on his sheet of paper. They spent a lot of money on upgrading their gear for this boss. The NPC guard that Aiden started talking to just smiled. They didn’t move. Didn’t speak. Then after a few seconds the guard vanished.
The other party members and towns people slowly do the same one by one. Until only the president, Vice President and two knights are left. Fog moves into the castle town. A misty night for a spooky... something or other. He wasn’t sure. The sky was dark and the moon high. Wasn’t it daylight a few seconds ago? The world shuttered almost like a glitch. What is going on? This is... very strange.
“Huh. That’s weird. I didn’t set it to night yet.” The President hummed as he lifted up his hands. The world around them glitched from the castle town to the room they were role playing in. The young man did the same motion in the ‘real world’ bringing up some sort of interface? Was that... it was definitely that kind of magic. Like the one dear Zephyr Hart used. ”It wasn’t me either.” That was the Vice President talking. She looked around the room as now it was just the four of them. The lights had gone out so it was a little harder to see. The Vice President waved her hands over some candles and they lit almost like magic.
“The real question is why these two didn’t vanish with the rest of the holograms” The President hummed speaking to the girl next to him. Why had these two NPCs alone been spared? Maybe proximity to him? He didn’t know... couldn’t know it was because they were not NPCs. There was something foul in the air... the clock started ticking loudly. Tick tick tick. What will you do?

It looked like the time for playing along and conducting recon was over. The tabletop realm they were in seemed to glitch out on them before slowly breaking down and disappearing. A side effect of them invading a paradise not meant for them maybe? He assumed it was the session/episode ending, albeit abruptly, until his vision didn’t flicker out. Just their dreamer, his guardian, and the two invaders left. Fuck. He felt himself glare at the President for a moment as he watched him use a familiar magic before his anger morphed into concern. REDACTED didn’t know what was going on either. Aiden got up from his seat, hands empty as the phone accessory he’d held before gone now. He was supposed to be gone, at least his role was anyway. His eyes darted around the room, first moving to locate Charani before the dreamer and his guardian, and then finally around the room for signs of the dream twisting or breaking down. He could feel some kind of power, some mana inching its way closer. Slowly, but steadily.
[break][break]
There’s a harsh beat in his chest as the memory of a knife in his back flares up once again. The phantom pain is there, and the scar tingled in a way that was inescapable. Was this her magic. Not the Vice Presidents but the woman that had induced these dream comas to begin with. “Hey Charani, still feeling pregnant?” He couldn’t help himself, cracking an uneasy smile. He hoped not anyway, feeling temporarily released form his delinquency. He did miss the bat his part carried around though. His hand moved to his hip, searching for his grandmother’s shears.
[break][break]
“Hey Prez, I think it’s time to cut the willful ignorance. I think she- something is coming. We need to move. Either the roof or the school entrance,” He said moving towards the dreamer and his guardian, intent on herding them out of the little club room. He’d been willing to play along if it meant quietly fulfilling the guy’s desires and helping him leave on his own accord, but now it felt like they’d been cornered. Was she aware of their traipsing into this dream? She had built this after all. She was the architect, and the President was just the guy running as the mayor. ‘Does your dream magic help you keep track of him? Just in case he runs?’ the boy asked, already tensing on his feet.
"I just came here to the party for the drugs Not here to make a friend or fall in love"
“Yup. Thanks for reminding me.” He said with a hint of annoyance and sarcasm in his voice as a wave of nausea washed over him. So the dream was still treating them like this. Or it was simply lingering effects from the dreams magic. Or both.
The President narrowed his eyes at the red haired boy. He looked perplexed and a bit... annoyed at the young man. “Excuse me? Did I say you could speak to me?” He looked over towards the young man with disgust evident in his voice. Well this isn’t what he suspected.
“These were nice character models too. Shame. Any idea who they are VP? Hmm.” The President asked the female next to him. She shrugged in response. ”Outsiders perhaps? They don’t seem to be part of... our side though. To noble looking.” The Vice President said while getting close to the young man. She seemed very familiar with. Very Familiar.
“Fine whatever. Who are you two and what are you doing here?” The President said using a wiping away motion to get rid of his spell work. He seemed to have dropped his happy chuni facade and was... well not as pleasant as one would expect of a knight. He seemed... well it’s best not to think about it.
The smell was slowly growing stronger. There was the smell of rotting flesh and sulfur in the air. It was... unpleasant to say the least. At least this guy seemed to not be delusional about this world. Charani was letting his other half take the lead. Mostly because he still felt like shit.

Aiden felt a flare up of irritation, not just at the fact that Charani was still semi influenced, a good tactical choice in retrospect since he was their ticket out of here, but also at their quarry. “You didn’t say I couldn’t-” Aiden began to snap back, the beginning of a threat forming and then dying in his throat. Not the time, Aiden, not the time. He’d take out his grievances in the real world. At least then he was sure the dreamer would carry the pain with him for a good couple of days. “Exploring.” The ginger said sarcastically as he shivered from the putrid smells emanating from the air ducts. “s̷̻̠͎͖̬̩̃̀̄̓̐͒̑͋̕͜ιi̷̪͛̍̇̋̄͠ḿ̴͔͓̩̦̽̒̈̈̈́̓̔̕o̸̧͈̰͚͌͛̃̀̊̅̕͘̚ṅ̸̡̩͊̈͜?” The name reverberated weirdly, and he didn’t recognize his own voice for a moment. He continued. “We’re here to pull you out of this prison, before your real body rots away and what not.” Even with magic, how long could these people lay like this?
[break][break]
“We can talk and walk.” Aiden added moving to shove the pair towards the exit as he felt his heart beginning to beat in his ears. The adrenaline was starting to amp him up a little, though he had no idea how well his abilities would translate into a dream. Especially when dreams were meant to be unlimited expanses of possibility. When they weren’t constrained by some kind of magic, you know. He expected a little bit of a push back, but not a full on slap to the hand. The President fully rebuffed him, not letting the redhead get too close. There’s another growing twice of irritation. God, of course he had to get stuck rescuing this kind of knight.
[break][break]
“Charani are you good to run or are you going to need help?” he asked, turning his attention towards his partner. He wished McKenna was around. She was half of his maneuverability. Sure, he was a little bit faster on his feet thanks to the weird shit Marjorie gave him, but McKenna helped tip him over the edge even if causing that ability led to a powerful motion sickness. “C’mon, I don’t want to have to jump out of a fucking window. I hate those dreams.” He added, more so to Charani than the President himself. “How much do you know, Prez?” he said, defaulting to the nickname. It didn’t make him feel weird at least. Again, he grasps for his scissors and again there’s nothing to defend himself with. Fists? Sure, but he wished he had that sword. He palms the side of his belt where the case should be and his fingers wrap around something tangible, something metal. It’s the fucking baseball bat his delinquent little self had been carrying around for no reason other than an anime prop. But it hey, beggars can’t be choosers right. ‘I hate dream magic.’
"I just came here to the party for the drugs Not here to make a friend or fall in love"
“It was implied.” He said with a sigh of annoyance to follow. He didn’t seemed pleased with their presence. The woman seemed to not care very much at all. She simply rolled her eyes at this exchange as it went on.
The President for sure would not let Aiden touch him. Or at least was trying his best not to allow this. The woman seemed equally displeased with any attempt at touching her. The Vice President was the first to speak. “It’s probably that stupid undead guardian again. The one that shows up when we don’t play along. ” He looked at the girl and sighed. His familiar was probably right, that stupid thing was a pain. It was the true guardian or this dream world. As long as they played along it left them alone. Otherwise it killed everything to reset the world again so he couldn’t escape.
“I’m fine. It’s wearing off or at least it feels that way.” The boyfriend said as his features started slowly glitching. Aidens did as well. Actually the entire groups forms glitched. The president glitched to his normal appearance and the Vice President looked to be some kind of weasel creature? Almost ferret like with golden hues to its coat. ”About the dream world or the fact this is a dream? I don’t know. I was expecting one of his men to come for us. But whatever beggars can’t be choosers.” The President said snapping his fingers. He was expecting another man with a darker soul and hair like embers. He was only part of the knights to spy anyway. A spy for the crimson man. The world glitched around them as they all took their original form. “Okay. That’s about all I can do to help us since it’s my dream and all. You should have your normal abilities. Minus anything elemental.”
This made some sense. After all they didn’t have their familiars here. Couldn’t use elemental magic without those now could they. The President rolled his eyes as his familiar... the VP... moved towards the door. He was calm. No doubt because he knew even if he failed he wouldn’t die for real. The other two... well no guarantee for them. To the roof. The wails of corpses could be heard just one floor down. Their flesh stank and burned his nostrils.

Aiden continued to scowl, the only appropriate expression for this entire situation. “The thing that rings the bells or whatever? Cool.” Conflict was unavoidable at this point. Even if he and Charani tried to analyze the world’s magic, it would take too long and too much concentration to figure out the specific of the dream world. Besides, hadn’t other purifiers tried and failed at that already? It had been months with little progress. He looked down at his suit before running his hand through his hair. No more bottle dye at least. ‘His men??’ What the hell id that mean? “Anything. Blind spots or maybe the edge of the dream. Somewhere where the magic would be weakest? Maybe we can find something with a Clear Sight spell and weaken the dream from there.” All spells had their structural weaknesses after all. They might not be able to understand exactly how the place worked but maybe hitting a nerve would be good enough for them. [break][break]
He eyed the weasel creature and then its master before straining to remember anymore details from the file. “Too bad you can’t turn that guardian into, I dunno, a fuckin’ bunny. Even if we couldn’t kill it, trapping it might give us enough time to work.” The redhead bemoaned as he let the other pair take the lead. He reached into his pouch, ever expanding until he yanked out a purple silk scarf that instinctively wrapped around his shoulders once protectively followed by another dark blue and green who seemed to rest with the purple, waiting for their commands to move. [break][break]
As he pulled form his bag the stench grew powerful but not only that. The floor seemed to shake slightly as the weight of whatever was coming for them rattled the building. Something heavy dragged on the polished linoleum floors. It hunched over, rattling and pushing to the ground ceiling tiles. The stench that hung around the undead behemoth was visible in a sickly green aura. Half a skull with a single glowing eye stared them down from the end of the hall. A giant skeleton with tendons of flesh just barely holding it together it seemed. “Oh…fuck” The feeling of icy dread dripped down his own spine and the scarves resting on his body grew restless. The jaw or what was left of it seemed to unhinge before letting out a piercing shriek that should’ve paralyzed the witch, but it only sent him stumbling farther from it as his heart leapt into his throat. “THAT??? THAT'S YOUR GUARDIAN?”
"I just came here to the party for the drugs Not here to make a friend or fall in love"
“The doorway out requires a key. The key is... well you can see.” The president said point toward whatever the heck that thing was. Bones connected by sinew and small, patchy amounts of flesh that seemed to be rotting off. There was a dark green glow somewhere in the center of the creature, no doubt it’s core. Whatever was animating the undead creature was probably there.
“It’s the green glowing thing isn’t it? It’s always the glowing thing. ” Charani said with an annoyed sigh. He seemed to feel a lot better but like... he was still kind of in a bad mood. No doubt they’d have to fight that thing to get the key. The doorway was probably on the school roof. It’d make sense why the dreamer kept going there if it was important, right? Right.
“Uh yeah I definitely can’t do that. You know you’re a lot dumber that I expected given your old man. Well beggars can’t be choosers.” The president said as he chatted more with his familiar than with the two witches that had come to rescue him. He seemed particularly spiteful towards Aiden. Charani was more of an afterthought than anything else.
“Probably not. Especially now that the dream is on high alert. The most straight forward way is the steal the key and run before the spell tries to repair itself.” They just needed to bear a grids and creepy skeleton thing. That looked like a boss monster from a Dark Souls game. This is fine right? Ahahaha. Nope. ”We should get to the roof before it starts an encounter. For some reason it always does that weird rpg warp to a battle zone thing to fight. The sigils I made on the roof should weaken it so we don’t get one shot.” The President said starting to make a break for it. There were skeletons that arose in front of the group as he started running. Charani and Aiden no doubt behind him. Unfortunately since they had no familiars here he’d probably be their main firepower. The weasel was on his shoulder channeling mana. Little orbs of light seemed to appear and beams shot out along their path. A light spell? Quick shot probably to clear the weak enemy’s as they ran. The creature tailing them was surprisingly fast given its... appearance.

“In its ribcage??” Aiden was being uncharacteristically squeamish about this considering his previous stunts. However, he felt the reaction was justified when he was living in what was basically a Living Horror Movie. This was like the night in Amigakara Park with all the zombies crawling around. He assumed a dreamer would have more power of his own dreams, but he supposed that thing was just as foreign as Charani and Aiden were. “The hell is that supposed to me?” he asked bristling at the remark was wasn’t even completely directed at him. He felt another drip of anxiety. A cold claw gripping onto his shoulder like Marjorie did at public events. [break][break]
Still Prez kept on as normal, as if Aiden was in the know. He wasn’t. He didn’t even have it in him right now to admit it. Still, that anxiety buried itself into the back of his brain writhing the longer he spent with the other witch. “Ok, steal the key and escape. Will that be enough for you? This thing won’t just stay in your brain and lurk there until you go back to sleep?” He dind’t know how that woman’s magic worked! No one did! He followed the dreamer, every so often glancing at Charani and then behind them to make sure the Boss wasn’t gaining on them. Why is it running? WHY IS IT RUNNING?
The group clambered up the stairs, scrambling past weak mobs of skeletal students some still in school uniforms some with weapons resembling the boss, all mildly terrifying. Bursting through the roof door, Aiden scrambles forward, a hand in his bag as he ripped out more scarves dropping them onto the ground. The ones on his neck diligently slithered down as well. “If you can, hog tie that thing.” He ordered as if speaking to a pack pups. “I can try to incapacitate it for a few moments, but I doubt this’ll last for long. Her magics unbelievably strong, even if this is just a fraction of it.” He explained moving backwards. He unclipped the other pouch on his hip, pulling out his faithful golden scissors that extended to a long and thing blade as he muttered the incantation under his breath right as the undead smashed open the door and snapped its body awkwardly cracking and crawling through the small opening before righting itself back up and standing at its full height once again.
"I just came here to the party for the drugs Not here to make a friend or fall in love"
“If it was slow don’t you think I’d have killed it by now? Is he really this stupid? Ugh.” The president said as they rushed for the door and stairs leading into the top thingy. The roof, that is the word I’m looking for, yeah the roof. The place they are going. The creatures are mostly just annoying and no real threat. The weird skeleton wraith thing is though.
“Less talking more running please. ” Charani said as he focused some mana into his hand. A small ball of energy was visible as he threw it outward using an energy ball spell to try and slow their pursuer down. The creature was barely phased by his magical attack. Well that is bad.
“Spell ends if the door unlocks. That’s usually how it works. Or at least that’s what the boss said.” The president huffed as he was getting winded from all this exercise. Even though they were in a dream. I don’t know just go with it. Dream logic.
Once on the roof the red head attempted his scarf maneuver. The skeleton creature seemed to be wrapped by them for the moment. The scarves tying around its arms and trying to hold it in place. It wouldn’t hold for long though. It was very evident by the sound of ripping fabric as the thing made of bone and rotten flesh was muscling its way out of the hold without... you know having actual muscles.
“That definitely won’t hold it for long. And my spell didn’t even phase it.” The President meanwhile was breathing very heavily and trying to catch his breath from running. He waved the two off. His familiar was doing something else though. She was scurrying around touching crystals? Or chalk? Something. It was hard to tell. ”It’s fine. As soon as the trap activates you’ll be able to hurt it.” The Presidents familiar shouted as the chalk lines below their feet started to glow. They had obviously been working on something in preparation of escaping... it looked like a dampening spell? Probably some kind of rune work like the girl from university. What was her name again? Didn’t matter. The encounter would now begin. There would be shreds of cloth everywhere in seconds as the creatures would manage to free itself.

“I just kind of assumed dreamers were more brainwashed or useless. You know?? Stored away at the center of the dream kind of crap!” Aiden snapped back. Literally anything could’ve been true for this. “So, you’re just going to go off this boss’ info? The Council’s top witches in almost every field couldn’t crack this but a key should clear you of this thing?” There was a lot of if’s. Like, IF the information the dreamer had gotten was correct and IF the spell really worked the same it did according to whatever mysterious old text was written on it. Then again Illusions typically dispelled once you figured out they were illusions. So, it made a little sense, he was just wary of wherever the Prez was getting his info from. [break][break]
His little pups sprang upward snapping onto the thing’s legs and arms before conjoining together in an attempt to chain down their prey. “We’ll take away its advantage for now. I’m going for the weapon.” He said darting towards the left to get a better look at the giant claymore it was carrying, its hand stopped mid swing. Even struggling against his scarves it was terrifying. The green eyes seemed to dart around from creature to creature bobbing unnaturally as it tried to pick its next target. Aiden took aim at the weapon, pointing the tip of his blade towards it as he muttered ‘Fractura’ under his breath. It worked on glass why not metal- stone- whatever the hell that dirty old thing was. [break][break]
If only his purifying training was a little better maybe he could’ve gone for its eyeball. “Do you think it can be blinded?” he asked, watching as the President’s familiar scurried around.
"I just came here to the party for the drugs Not here to make a friend or fall in love"
“Normally that is true” The president hummed, his eyes rolling at the question. Normally someone under another’s dream power... at least one as strong as this one... would be much harder to get at. They’d also be deeper and more unaware of their dreamspace. Obviously something else is go8nf on that he isn’t telling them. No doubt they weren’t the first dream walkers here.
“The boss has a powerful seer in his camp. The council can’t say the same. There are what... a handful of them at most? ”
Charani somewhat agreed with the idea. The logic was fairly sound. An exit was always built into a dream... it was an undeniable law of dream weaving magic. It’d make sense for someone as strong as the person that made this world to try and throw a lock on the exit since they couldn’t just block or get rid of it entirely.
“It makes sense. Dream magic always has an exit... always. That is the one law of dream creation.” The young witch hummed as his boyfriend tried to subdue the creature. His next sentence came out sweet and overly cheerful. It was kind of disturbing. “Also call him stupid again and I’ll cut out your tongue and feed it to your familiar. Got it?”
The creatures arms snapped under the pressure of the items. They glowed once again seconds after as they tried to reattach themselves to their host body. No doubt it would regenerate its parts until the core was damaged. The claymore made a hissing sound like metal on metal when hit by the fracture spell. It did not break. There seemed to be some small scratches on the blade though. It would take far more power to break that blade.
“Probably not but it could hurt to try.” The President said as he lit off a ball of light magic at the thing like a flash bang. Anyone close to it would also get hit by the flash. The small ball exploded creating the flash. The creature seemed rather uncomfortable with the light but was not recoiled like a normal living creature would be. It probably wasn’t using its actual eyes to see. ”Okay. Trap activated. Everyone hold on!” The Presidents familiar shouted as the chalk lines below their feet started to create a barrier around them. The world outside the barrier faded away until it was black. A spell to cut them off from outside influence perhaps? Whatever it was the creature seemed to be slower than before. It was still strong enough to rip apart its holds and try to swing its massive sword towards whatever was closest.

Aiden would take out his irritation on the Boss Monster but in his head, he was screaming ‘The hell does that make Charani and his teacher??’ Whatever, the guy wanted to be enigmatic, let him. They didn’t really have time to argue over the little details here and there. For that matter, Charani was quick to confirm the logic was sound at least. And despite it all, he felt his ears burn a little as the Seer came to his defense…in his own scary way. His spell sounded almost tangible, and he quickly abandoned the idea of destroying the claymore. Probably more energy and trouble than its worth. For now, he’s stuck at a defensive. He can still, probably keep it from hitting its target. If, you know, he becomes the main one. [break][break]
He turned his head defensively as he spotted the attack, backing up from the monster to avoid getting hit while protecting his eyes. He didn’t expect the sound though and winced at the ringing in his ears. And then, the scenery changed once again, but it felt different. Like floating on a solitary patch of reality. He hated dream magic so much, sometimes. “I’m gonna crack your massive skull!” he shouted at the construct as he lifted his shears and pointed at the arm with claymore once more. There’s a quick hiss before a sudden Knockerbacker spell sent a surge of energy directly at the offending arm. He wasn’t about to admit he had nothing, but he kind of uh- had nothing. For as much grief as he gave others, when it came down to it most of his magic was very much focused on keeping him alive more than great outputs of destructive energy. Perhaps though, that was for the best when it came to a witch as temperamental as him. [break][break]
Aiden moved, not electing to stay in the same position but still keeping close to the undead wretch. The stink was powerful this close, but he kept the green glow in his sights. His hand moved again to his pocket as pulled out a thicker, wool scarf. The plaid pattern on it a particularly tiresome project. “Get me that eyeball.” He ordered, his voice low as the thick scarf suddenly sprung to life and slithered like an anaconda into action, climbing up the creature and beginning not wrap itself around the skull. “If it recedes follow it!” he added, cringing at the thought of his beautiful scarf going inside something so gross but remembering that this was all a dream and he could soon, hopefully, forget about his beautiful works getting shredded.
"I just came here to the party for the drugs Not here to make a friend or fall in love"
The world around them was black. Save for the solitary plane of earth below them. It was almost like they were in space... a pocket dimension of the dreams creation. There were a few pockets of rocks floating above them... almost like small islands floating in nothingness.
The creatures main body tanked the knock backer jinx, his arm however could not as it was pushed back. Almost like it bounced off a wall or something? The same kind of push back motion at least.
“Try this.” The familiar Vice President rushed with agility unlike that she had displayed previously. It was almost like a flash step. Thin light wires erupted from the ground below the creature. The hummed, creaked, and snapped with each of the creatures movements. They replicated themselves with surprising quickness. They certainly were not stopping the creature but they were slowing it down by a wide margin.
The creature was pissed with the thing the redhead had created. Green fire erupted from its skull in an attempt to burn away the fabric trying to grab its eye. The same green flames spit out towards the creator of said item. Perhaps it is hoping killing the witch will stop the spell if it can’t burn it away? ”Watch out!” The boyfriend shouted as the flames started to rise. The claymore started to glow as well as green flames inched towards it. Almost like the sword as absorbing the flames? That probably wasn’t good. It probably wasn’t good to be close to it.

The witch held his shears defensively, watching the creature grow more and more angry as they started to make shots for its core. It really didn’t enjoy that, and it seemed intelligent enough to know he was the cause of one frantic scarf. The woolen creation hissed and burned as the green flames began eating away at it, but the thing still rushed forward into the flamed wrapping around the skull and slithering into the chest cavity to irritate the green core. It was still taking substantial damage, not exactly the more fireproof of crochet projects. As he frantically looked for an opening he noted, with a little relief, that the creature was more or less trapped with them as it seemed to stay within a barrier despite his spell. [break][break]
Wires exploded from the track of the Vice President, and at least the golem didn’t rip out of these restraints as easily the previous attempt. Still it did nothing for the flames that continued forth and flashing brightly. They leapt forward and Aiden moved as Charani shouted out a warning. The heat intense despite the strange color. “Hot hot hot hotohothot!” he hissed feeling something just barely touch his pant leg as he scrambled backwards for the safety, the beast effectively pushing him back. “I got more of those coming, buddy. I’m a nervous knitter!” he shouted despite his dire circumstances. He effectively held the aggro, might as well use it to their advantage. [break][break]
“I’m gonna crack him open like a walnut, you guys do the rest. Before that fucking claymore moves again.” He said, as he heard the creak of bones as it struggled against the light wires. The claymore took flame like it was doused in gas. He aimed his scissors at the thing’s chest cavity calling out another Fractura. The bones snapped and bent backwards form the force and he thought he could see the green glow of the core as it retreated further. However, almost immediately it went to helping fortify the bones and seal it back up, moving tissue and bone fragments slowly back into place. “Hey so, how does this work? Is it we break the core and the key comes out of it like a cracked egg or do you just need to, uh, disable it?” he shouted, circling around the beast as he avoided the flames that seemed to take a little longer than normal to flicker out leaving behind a foul sulfuric smell. Maybe now wasn’t the best time to ask for specifics on more dream magic details, but Aiden only had so much mana in him, in this dream anyway, and he could either blow it on containing the beast or buffing his friends. Not friends, his boyfriend and their charges. “I’m open to ideas either way. But I don’t know how awesome purifying is in a dreamscape.” Where rules truly don’t matter.
