this is Salem, a land filled with magic and maladies. It is a place where witches and their elemental familiars gather, a home to legend and
lore that predates time itself. Yet of all the wicked and wonderful stories the past can tell us of, the most magical are the ones yet to happen.
This is Salem - this is the start of your very own journey. Welcome to starfall
Starfall is an animaga witch roleplay set in mostly modern times. Members play as witches in a world plagued by monsters, where the only safe spots are walled cities. Starfall strives to be a character-driven roleplay with expansive lore and a highly interactive plotline. We want to allow members to
create and look back on a magical journey, and mold the site and its plot as their characters grow.

The creatures bones cracked and shrieked under the pressure of the red haired boys spell. Exposed and raw as rotting flesh sputtered out of the cracks that were created. It smelled of decay and foul basement like one assumed Desmond Grey house would smell. Allegedly. For legal purposes this is all alleged.
The creatures main body would tank another fracture spell if it was not done at close range again. It seemed whatever it was doing or made of the closer you were to it the less it was able to weaken the spell used against it. The claymore seemed to also exhibit this property besides being flame imbued. Like a weak form of purification magic.
“Stupid thing is mostly bones how is it this tanky.” The President complained as he bolstered his familiars wire magic. Wires were constantly breaking and reforming around the creature slowing it down but not stopping its movement totally. It was much slower and easier to dodge though.
The creature was mostly focused on the boy closes to it. Aka aiden emerson of course as the rest were outside its physical range and posed less danger because of it. The good news it probably couldn’t shoot those flames out or it probably would have done so long before this. “Once we have the key we just need to break it and the door unlocks so we can leave. Or that’s usually how it works.” At least that is how it worked the only other time the seer had been in a dream spell. ”I have an idea! If you can expose the orb again I can get it!” The boyfriend shouted as he threw another concussive energy ball at the creature in an attempt to stun it. The orb was a magical item and not alive. Therefore Witches Call should theoretically be able to pull it out if he could get a direct line of sight on it. They’d have to be quick but in theory it would work.

Even with a weapon out, Aiden was still far lighter and faster than their enemy. The skull, while irritated by the other two boys, continued to trail him as Aiden did his best to sidestep and roll around the golem. Half of it was his reluctance to get near that thing again, and half of it was waiting for strokes of genius from his team. “I know its dream magic and all, and this ain’t real, but I bet that thing is littered in minor rune scripting spells to make this harder on us." Or, since it was some weird form of necromancy, maybe it just took power directly from the witch that had made this whole mess. At least, a fraction of it. Maybe it was lucky her power was spread out between so many victims or else this would’ve been ten times harder. [break][break]
Ok, cool, at least hitting a specific spot was working. “Right, I’ll see what I can do then!” he shouted back at the pair as the claymore, while slowed, still smashed the ground beside him with enough force that he felt a bit of wind whip through hair. Once more, the otherworldly flamed singe his clothes and stray bits of hair before he raised his shears to protect himself. The sword glower momentarily with a white mana, as Aiden wheezed out a call for negation. He doesn’t wait to see how well it goes, forcing a quick surge of man out of him before backing off and glancing back for an opening again. [break][break]
The fires seemed to sputter out, at least on the thing’s weapon and seeing it semi stuck in the stones, he guns it under long limbs and hot white wires. His heartbeat is in his ears as he moves under the creature’s folded arms and closer to the glowing orb inside it. “Come and get it!” he screamed, hands moving to the hilt of his sword and smashing it at the lowered ribcage as he snarled another fractura! Bone and rotten flesh burst back in a small explosion and Aiden chances it again at the golem let out an angry cry. “Again, you awful miniboss!” he taunted, reeling back the sword and smashing it back opening more of the chest. The green orb was swirling around like crazy. The skeleton thing lurches violently, a sudden haste imbued in its action and just as the redhead bounces off with his last attack, a hot, stone claymore smashed him to the side, sending him skidding on the ground, seared with magic and possibly concussed.
"I just came here to the party for the drugs Not here to make a friend or fall in love"
The creatures bones cracked and shrieked under the pressure of the red haired boys negation spell as he used his sheets and brute force to expose the raw orb. Flames licked his skin and his body was tossed aside like a rag doll after impact. It looked like it hurt. It definitely hurt like a beach. Or something like that. Exposed and raw as rotting flesh sputtered out of the cracks that were created the orb once again visible, swirling violently as the creature went in for another attack on the closest target. Charani used witches call on the orb, pulling the object towards him. It was… well let’s just say it took more mana to do than he expected. Perhaps due to the distance or the fact it was still lodged in the meat suit when he did so. It wasn’t alive after all so that wasn’t the issue.
The creatures main body froze once the orb was removed. It seemed that without the orb physically within its body the flesh wouldn’t be able to move. Like when you take the batteries outside of anything but a Furby. Those still move. Terrifying. The orb felt hot in his hand, like it was in a rage and it vibrated violently.
“Stupid creature.” The young man said, his eyes flashing a look of annoyance and rage for a split second as he poured his mana into the orb. Negation… sure it wouldn’t work for very long. Long enough to break it on the ground though. And that is what he did. He just kind of… smashed it on the ground. He even stepped on it and wiggled his foot to really drive it in. He seemed pissed.
The creature melted away like a disgusting ooze once the thing broke and the area around them turned white. There was no form for anything. Even the ground the stood on was just white. Like they were in a white room with no end. The three of them were there alone. There was a door several feet from the red haired boy with a Hume royal oversized lock. The oozy mess of a creature was the only other thing in the room with them. and shiny visible in the pool. Along with bones and rotate. Flesh of course. Go team? ”Did… did we win?”

Yeah, it did hurt like a beach. A lot of beaches. The breath was soundly knocked out of him and as he’d flown unable to breath, whatever little air he managed to suck in was soundly beat out of him again by the ground. He wasn’t sure if he had heard it over the noise of his own agonized screaming, but he was pretty sure he heard bones crack within his body. Damaged clothes tore further as he rolled to a stop, and his vision was filled with bright lights. Blood trickled down his nose and pooled in various spots of his body. Aiden shook processing different types of pain form different parts of his body all at once. The only reason he wasn’t shrieking bloody murder was because he was busy trying to suck in air and see clearly. [break][break]
Yeah no, he’d been a sitting duck trying to recover from this. They’d landed a pretty good hit on him. He was vaguely aware of things happening beginning him, like the sudden change in scenery as the dark, muddied colors of the world shifted to a stark white. The hefty monster behind him disintegrating into…a mana pool? Water pool? Dream magic… Charani spoke and he took far too long to respond, gathering his bearings. His eyes locked on the shears that out of his reach for too long had turned back to golden scissors. He pushed himself to his feet, feeling a spike in energy push through when he wouldn’t. He could walk at least. His bones may have cracked, but they couldn’t break as easily as they used to. That much he’d seen himself. Aiden retrieved his shears, keeping them ready but moving towards what remained of the creature. “Is this…what all the Knights are going to find?” he asked, glancing at the other two who were surprisingly knowledgeable about the magic they were in. Charani he expected, President over there with the cursed name however? Weirdo. [break][break]
He imagined they’d be pulled for another one of these again. If only to help guide others before they were allowed to take a break. “That giant lock is obvious enough.” He continued as he kicked over fragments of bone and tendons, checking for anything left. “I think…we won. Just touch the lock and leave, right?” he said looking at the President, waiting for him to do the honors. And it seemed straight forward enough. Beat the boss, get the hell out of dodge. Hopefully the pain in his body would subside once he was conscious again. He nodded at Charani, beginning to walk over to what he assumed was the exit. The President, at the very least, waited for them to form up around him and his familiar before attempting to get them outta there.
"I just came here to the party for the drugs Not here to make a friend or fall in love"
The exit was within their grasp. It smelled of mud, decaying plants and dirty water. Almost like a swamp that was unused to human life. The door opened wide upon approaching it… the key vanishing like it had been used though nobody had actually touched it. Maybe just getting close enough was good?
The creatures body was gone. Everything around them was gone. The door felt like a vacuum almost pulling them inside. All three. There was a faceless person there waiting. It was a short hallway with the door shutting behind them. They were each alone. The creature was featureless but looked otherwise human.
“他はないことないはら” The you thing spoke like a buzzing sound in your brain. It was like it spoke directly into your head, no sound at all. They were both probably used to this due to Charani’s consistent use of their telepathic connection for the past few months. The door behind it swung open and there would be a brief flash as the creature’s arm elongated and touched their forehead briefly.
It would feel like a vision. Maybe it was? Maybe it was something else. There was a man very familiar to the red headed boy. A pair of golden sheers that looked like the ones in his hands. It was not him though. He could look down and see his own hands and body. It was like he was looking though his own eyes. The older man was laughing. There was red oozing off the blade in his hand.
He could feel a weight in his arms. If he dared to look down he would see someone very familiar in his arms bleeding. Obviously stabbed. More than likely protectively held and just as likely this person threw themselves in front of an attack meant for him. There was coughing, blood on both of their clothes. Water and mud below his feet, kneeling even in it.
3. 2. 1. Snap. ”Are they back? Look! I think they are waking up.”
The sound of heat monitors and smell of the hospital entered their noses. Only one had seen that vision. The boy with red hair. But was it a vision? Who knows. They were our. That is what matters.
