[attr="class","a1scroll"] Mornings were never a thing for Aiden. He had getting up. He had a tendency to wake up multiple times and just sink back into sleep just as easily. But it’s different today. He’s still as tired, still groggy as ever, but he’s colder too. He let out a small groan as he curled up tighter together, blinking slowly as he stared at the wall before around his room. It was oddly silent for having housed to people the night before, not to mention the person that had kept half of the bed warm was gone. He noted, tiredly, that he was already starting to miss it but that was probably due to the cold shiver creeping up his back. He hummed to himself absently pulling on that mental link for a moment but neglected to say anything. He’s busy thinking. [break][break]
He could go back to sleep, but he can smell the kitchen even with the door shut. What’s more is that his…companion was mission and he should check on him. That’s what you did right? There’s another shiver and the boy ambled to the small bathroom to wash his face. A little bit of drool had dried on its way down to his chin and it wasn’t scratching off just right. A quick once over revealed that once pale pink skin was now marred with bright purple and red spots. Aiden, who was one to wear very little to bed, couldn’t walk out like this. His family was out there he didn’t want them sneering at him or asking weird questions. In fact- he gasped as he examined his arms and his shoulders and, unfortunately for the purposes of covering up, his back was red and purple, for the most part. Too noticeable. As he looked over the battle scars, memories of the night before began to trickle down. Every mark a memory that made his cheeks burn and reminded him of what he’d done. In the house of his grandparents, of all places. [break][break]
Fuck it. It’s cold enough. After calming down and applying cold water on his cheeks, the boy grabbed a pair of briefs and a turtleneck out of his dresser, sliding easily into it. What he really needed was concealer, but he wasn’t about to ask his grandmother for some, and he couldn’t send a message to his mom to bring it either. He couldn’t just, stall for hours for her. He slipped on socks and dug around for his bunny slippers before remembering he’d left them by the couch. Ugh. With a deep breath, the redhead moved out of the kitchen swaying as his stomach commanded towards the kitchen. “Mornin’.” He said weakly, already shriveling up under the gaze of his grandparents. “Slept well?” Macintosh inquired over his newspaper while Rosario chewed on her eggs. [break][break]
“Yeh uhh warm.” He returned before Rosario chimed in. “Not so much now eh?” she said nodding over at the sweater. Aiden dug his chin into his neck muttering weakly. “S’cold in my room with the bed next to th’ window sometimes…” He did so as he passed the old couple marching into the kitchen only for his ears to burn. “G-Good mornin’.” He greeted eyes darting from his own clothes to the bright marks on Charani’s skin. His stomach growled and moved quietly to grab an empty plate for himself. “You didn’t have to.” He said nodding over at breakfast, though he looked pleased at a chance to taste Charani’s cooking again. ‘How’re you feeling? Did they say anything to you?’
"I just cam here to the party for the drugs Not here to make a friend or fall in love"
His grandparents were awake before he was. In fact he made extra food because of that. A simple rolled egg omelet for two became an omelet, scrambled eggs and hash browns for four. Not that he minded. Cooking was kind of nice when it was only for a few people and not forty
He had chatted a bit with the boys grandparents as he cooked. Mostly his grandmother. She seemed to be in a very chipper mood this morning upon seeming him. It was odd but nice.
He was currently in the kitchen putting the last of the batch of hash browns into some containers for later. There was still a batch left on the stove with an egg omelet waiting for Aiden. No doubt left there purposely for him..
“Morning.” Charani smiled as he put a few things away into the fridge. He looked over at Aiden in a turtleneck sweater hiding most of the hickies he’d been given the night before. Charani was much more... let’s say you could see a lot more on his skin than Aidens. They were not as numerous but it was clear his thighs and neck were unusually colored for such a tan boy. His inner thigh was particularly purple and his walk awkward. There was no way in hell anyone with eyes wouldn’t figure them out. Even blind people.
Charani would go in for a quick little kiss out of view in the kitchen. Very chaste and quick like a hello. Very different from hours before. “Help yourself I made a ton.”
“Oh we were taking a bit before you woke up. They thanked me for making breakfast and your grandmother said I looked cute in this shirt.” That was the extent of the conversation. The food was still warm so it hadn’t been super long since he’d cooked. The oven burners were still warm to the touch. Not that Aiden would touch them.

[attr="class","a1scroll"] The Cunninghams, unaware of any strange magic plaguing their grandson or even affecting them, were simply happy to bear witness. Aiden never brought home any friends, and so to see Charani had been a delight. To see he had stayed over even better considering the horrible state of affairs Aiden had left things in. But that was a sadder memory, one that for the moment, everyone would suppress and forget. Compliments for the food had come forth easily and offers to help clean had been rebuffed, which was a welcome break for Macintosh who often did the cleaning after the whirlwind that was Rosario in the kitchen passed. [break][break]
Aiden carefully served himself, already drooling a little. “Thanks for the future leftovers.” He replied as he reached into a drawer to pick up a fork. He’d stop for a moment, allowing Charani close before breathing a small sigh and moving along. He reached over for a napkin flinching at the diviner’s words. ‘She said-!?’ he sent back his words clipped as his mind raced to process this new nugget of info. She knew she totally knew and Macintosh too by extension. Coming out in a full sweater had been his nail in the coffin. He’d pulled the same move before when hiding bruises from street fights. Crap. He’d already felt them watching yesterday when they’d met up on the street and after dinner when they’d sat next to each other but now… [break][break]
He met Rosario’s gaze and almost stumbled as she looked right through him. He didn’t even want to look her in the eye. ‘She’s right.’ He sent back meekly, noting it was the same shirt from last night that’d been tossed aside without much care. ‘but, you’re not cold or anything?’ He sat next to Macintosh who offered some reprieve as he flipped through his newspaper and hummed something to his wife every so often. “Got any plans today?” the old man asked as Rosario sipped a cup of steaming hot tea. Aiden, who had wasted no time beginning not cut and scarf down his omelet sat up straight and stared at them before looking over at Charani and swallowing hard. “Uhh…yes. A- A date.” Somewhere. The place still not decided. "Another one already?" Rosario couldn't help but ask as her granson sheepishly looked back at his food and scooped egg into it.
"I just cam here to the party for the drugs Not here to make a friend or fall in love"
Aidens mind seemed to whirl around randomly at various stimulation. He didn’t really understand it. Maybe he was embarrassed? Or was it just because they were around his grandparents looking like they did. Like dirty heathens. Before marriage how dare they.
He had finished putting everything away after Aiden made his way to the table. “No problem.” You could almost hear the hearts, sparkles and heart eyes emoji in his thoughts. Gross. Disgusting.
“A little bit but the kitchen is pretty warm so it’s been okay. Besides this shirt is surprisingly comfy.” It also smelled like Aiden. It was a pleasant smell. He walked back out from the the task was completed. He sat at the table despite not having food to eat in front of him. It was more for company as the red headed boy ate his food.
“Yes. Though we haven’t decided where yet.” Charani smiled as he tried to put his knee and Aidens next to each other as the sat. Let them touch under the table where nobody was looking. Their little secret. Much cuter than being all over each other like they were last night once the two had gone to bed.
“Is there anywhere you need to go today?” That was a possibility. He had pretty much walked In unannounced on Aidens two days. He probably did have a thing or two to do. As long as it didn’t involve excessive exercise, bending or the ability to walk quickly they would be golden. His discomfort in his lower back was thankfully mild but it still hurt and felt awakes to move quickly. And that was 100% all aiden emerson.

‘It’s not gross? I wore that all day…’ the redhead sent back. He didn’t think he’d worked up too much of a sweat yesterday, but, you know, it was a little odd to him. He had plenty of clean shirts to offer. He didn’t get the vibe that Charani was displeased though so he refrained from pushing it further as he tended to his plate. As usual, the boy more inhaled than really tasted his food but that had only become an indicator of how good the food he ate was. The slower he ate, the worse he thought of it, or typically the sicker he was. He ate in silence zoning out for a moment only to perk up once the brunette sat down next to him. Of course. He didn’t need to look up to see the hint of a sly smile curling on Macintosh’s lips or the subtle way the corners of Rosario’s eyes seemed to pinch upward as she watched on. ‘I like your cooking.’ Aiden decided, unwilling to face his all-knowing grandparents. [break][break]
He covered his mouth to add to the conversation, finally, mentioning where exactly they’d been hiding out all of yesterday. The old couple nodded in approval, exchanging knowing glances Aiden looked over at Charani for a moment as if about to say something before stuffing another forkful of omelet into his mouth. He was already more than half done. Some might call this a recovery period after losing high amounts of calories. ‘I…don’t remember.’ The boy admitted, quietly shuffling away, smuggling an experimental party potion and breaking into an old estate into his ‘to do’ list for tomorrow. Better yet the day after. He could already feel the laziness creeping in. Especially if Charani was leaving tomorrow anyway. He’d want to do nothing but lounge. ‘I think…I should pass by the tailor’s and see if they have any work for me from over the weekend.’ He offered with a small shrug at his meal. [break][break]
Matters weren’t very pressing when you were Aiden. He could barely remember what day it was much less had a schedule to follow. “Wanna do something touristy? Like a…dunno museum? Local landmark of Sundial. You know…” he offered, choosing to ignore the subtle nodding Macintosh was giving him in approval. “There’s also the park.” Rosario interjected before turning to look at the diviner to explain. “It’s got all sorts of attractions. Thrill rides, carnival games, a pond with little boats for couples to sit it.” Aiden nodded along not entirely invested in this idea. Too crowded for his tastes. Good for pick pocketing but he’d done enough with Charani’s help the day prior. ‘We can also relax. You gotta get ready for home tomorrow right..?’ the weaver suggested while Rosario gushed about her first date with Macintosh at Amigakara Park.
"I just cam here to the party for the drugs Not here to make a friend or fall in love"
“Not really? It doesn’t smell bad or just smells like you.” It was a nice smell. Or at least he thought it smelled nice. He couldn’t speak for the entirety of Sundial but then again he didn’t have to. Besides he’d have to actually put on real clothes eventually. They couldn’t exactly go out on a date with him in a T-shirt that was a smidge to big for him and underwear that clearly wasn’t his.
“They all sound like fun. It doesn’t matter to me. I’m sure any of them will be fun.” Charani said his eyes trained on Aiden as he spoke. He really didn’t care that much where they went. Each suggestion sounded new to him so any of them could be fun. Plus all of them meant spending time alone. Well alone as a set. Maybe someplace that didn’t involve tons of quick or rapid movement.
“We can go to the tailors so you can get what you need. Maybe walk around for a bit and then we can relax? Or something like that. I’m game for laying in bed and lots of cuddling. Hehe.”
They would of course need to get ready and stuff before they went anywhere. A nice shower sounded amazing. Plus he heard they didn’t need to boil the water beforehand in the city for warm water. Lucky!
“We’ll find someone way to occupy our time. Right Aiden?” He happily smiled at the other boy, injecting small talk and nods or yes/no phrases to the boys grandparents when prompted. He wasn’t a rude boy after all. But first thing they should do is get ready. Right? There was no way he’d give up that opportunity.
“Speaking of which. We should get ready. If you’ll excuse us.” He stood up, a little wobbly on his legs but he was slowly getting better as the morning went on. He gripped at the redheads arm to try and pull him away. “Come onnnnn. I need you to show me how your guys fancy city showers work~.” Of course he was planning something. Why not Shower together to conserve water? He was all about the environment after all. AHAHAHA. He was gonna be the death of aiden emerson for sure.

Aiden stared at the scraps left on his plate sheepishly only really able to answer ‘Oh.’ It was weird, and e didn’t get it, but Charani’s reasoning made him a little happy. He stopped fussing, happy to go along with conversation while he just tried to finish his meal as he was practically the only one left eating this morning. He simply tilted his head in acknowledgement rolling over his own ideas in his head. Mainly, whichever one would be the easiest. It had been a pretty rough night for the both of them, so something that they could gradually sink into would be nice. He scratched his head; red cowlicks and wisps sticking up every which way. “Then, I’ll figure something out while changing.” He said, his words trailing off to cover his mouth as he yawned. It didn’t inspire the most confidence in his grandparents, but nevertheless he gave the breakfast table and easy smile before looking back at his plate. [break][break]
‘I like that idea…We can come back early and lounge.’ He offered as he looked over the diviner once more. That’d be easier right. Plus, personally, the less time to stood outside in full view, covered in each other’s teeth marks, the better. “Oh, right! Sure.” Aiden said as he straightened his back. “We live in the city, there’s always something.” He added. The witch set his fork down, satisfied with breakfast and ignoring any further conversation, only to pop out of his seat once prompted, eyes flashing with worry for a moment before following along waving at his family. “See you later tonight!” he said as Macintosh nodded over at Rosario who was too busy giggling into her hand. The woman settled down before getting up to grab her bag so the old couple could head out on their own. [break][break]
He ignored the few excited whispers he caught before he shut the door behind him. ‘Right, sure!’ he returned to the other boy, as he looked over the small bathroom nothing the second towel Rosario had left for their guest. It’d gone unused considering...well everything. “We just have these knobs and you just kind of twist until you get the temperature you want.” He explained as he reached over Charani to start the hot first. “S’not very precise but…” This wasn’t the most exciting thing he’d explained to anyone ever. “Do you wanna go first? You-” You need it more than me. “You can get first dibbs on the hot water.” Steam began to hit the air as he turned the cold knob a bit to even it out as steam began to cloud the mirror. Not a thought had passed his mind that hadn’t been innocent, as he quietly fretted over the other boy as well as planned something light for them to do after the tailor’s.
"I just cam here to the party for the drugs Not here to make a friend or fall in love"
At least the trip to the bathroom was short and easy to get too. He knew exactly where to go thanks to his morning adventure of needing to pee like a maniac. Within thirty seconds they were in a cramped bathroom with the sounds of old witches gathering up their things to leave far off in the distance.
“So you just twist them and hot water comes out? How fancy. We have to boil ours.” Charani said as Aiden went about showing and trying to explain how they worked. There were two towels laying aside for them no doubt by his grandmother. Aiden reached around and made a show of how to work the object. Charani was paying less attention than he should have been. Instead he was waiting for a low click sound from outside the bathroom.
Who says general magic isn’t Useful obvious has never used it the way he has. He waits until Aiden is talking about who should take a shower first before he would use it. The brunette, thanks to the cramped space, was always pretty close to the red headed boy. He lifted his hand up towards his date with his palm out before quickly twisting it down like he was opening a door. A slight click sound could be heard as the bathroom, door locked with telekinesis.
“Or we could shower together~“ He would try to place his arms up around Aidens neck. Partially so he couldn’t leave and partially because he planned on kissing the boy within the next minute or so. There was a soft shutting sound in the distance as the front door to the house opened and shut. Aiden was in trouble.
McKenna had probably totally given up on the boy by this point. Given how easily he was seduced by this boys whiles. Honestly she should be happy that he wasn’t from the other cult group of the swamp or Aiden would no doubt be nailed to an alter as a sacrifice by this point. Oh well. Shower time.

[attr="class","a1scroll"] “Do you have more baths than showers then?” the bathroom was so small there was obviously no room for a bathtub. That was more his grandparents’ room, which he didn’t dare go into for something as trivial as a bath. “Haven’t had a bubble bath in a while now that I think about it.” He added with a shrug, carefully retracting his hand. Didn’t want to knock over the other guy. Though before he had the chance to scoot back out and grab something a bit better fitting for his date he’s intercepted. The intimacy of the moment registered a little more slowly denoted by the slow boil of Aiden’s face. He blinked, every few seconds turning a little pinker as the blush traveled from his cheeks through his nose and up his ears. [break][break]
‘Isn’t that…a bit cramped?’ He asked as his hands hovered over Charani’s waist, before finally settling around his back. Despite whatever his best judgment could’ve been at the moment, he brought the boy closer happy for the attention no matter the situation now. ‘Would you be more comfortable if I was?’ he can’t help but ask, warming up to the idea incentivized exclusively by one brain cell that kept pointing out how close Charani was and wouldn’t he like to stay that way for as long as possible? [break][break]
Besides, he thought he heard something with the door, and he wouldn’t put it past the diviner to try something to get his way. That made it sound bad, but he really did remind him of an imp. Prettier by far, but still every bit of troublesome at times. Aiden touched their foreheads together not yet going in for the kill but keeping that weird tenseness they seemed to enjoy going. ‘Don’t want you collapsing in the bathroom and ruining your chances of going home tomorrow.’ Oh no, what a nightmare! If one particularly clingy houseguest just had to stay a few extra days while they healed up. McKenna let out a quick snort in his head, and he could imagine her shaking her head at him for the mere suggestion of it. He’d hung out with a cultist long enough. Better cut him loose now before they came looking for him.
"I just cam here to the party for the drugs Not here to make a friend or fall in love"
An imp how dare! He was much cuter than that. Obviously though the sentiment remained the same. Imp, Incubus, ect were all not... super far off. Minus the soul sucking and all that. Similar tactics at the very least. He seemed pleased when Aiden let his hands fall on his back and they were so close.
“Please?” Charani said with a pout, eyes watching the other boys with a look like you kicked his puppy dog. Of course he was trying everything to get his way. Sure he wouldn’t have been this bold if the two elderly witches were in the other room but since they were gone... they could be more... active. Louder perhaps. All things that appealed to the shorter witch.
Their foreheads touched and steam started to appear in the room. Obviously form the hot water running beside them. Maybe they should turn on a fan or something. Or you know actually get in the shower. You know stranger things could happen. He was pleased by how much easier it was the second time around to get Aiden into a good mood.
To be fair with all the heat and steam it would be more likely that one of them could pass out. Still unlikely given their overall health and age but whatever. The brunette let his breath ghost over the redheads lips, attempting to entice him into sealing the deal.
“Oh? You think you were that good huh? ~“ He teased the other boy with a smirk on his face. Sure he was the one initiating a second round so by logic he was at least descent if not good. But shouldn’t let him know that right? Right.

[attr="class","a1scroll"] Like many things unique to this relationship, how easily they could carry on conversations in silence was still strange to him in the way that sometimes he remembered he hadn’t opened his mouth or that he could continue speaking while yawning. Not exactly a secret language, but useful in its own way. He squirmed under the big eyes and cute pout, grimacing as he felt his chest tighten a little and the very instinctual impulse to coddle the boy. “I…I guess it’s alright.” It would be incredibly distracting but at the very least it’d wake him up. What else could he do? Run? He was kind of busy at the moment. [break][break]
Impatient as ever, Aiden caved in first. He wasn’t terribly experienced in bothering people like this and it was honestly commendable Charani had a bit of self-control left. He frowned, unable to keep still anymore before he leaned in for his kiss. It’s not rough or hungry, but sweet and maybe a bit shorter than Charani would’ve liked. Before he can pull away full the redhead seemed to jolt at the mere suggestion that he thought he was- competent at anything that was going on. It almost snaps him out of that grogginess from earlier, eyes blinking quickly as he tried to defend himself. “I- That’s not- I didn’t mean-” the stuttered excuses all fizzle out halfway out of his mouth. [break][break]
‘Y-you sure you just weren’t overeager?’ Aiden shot back recalling he had been happy to avoid even thinking on the subject during their afternoon together. Kissing had been bad enough. Regardless of how much he may or may not have enjoyed The Great Make Outs, something had to be said for how oblivious he’d been to those intentions. Maybe he’d been blinded by petty annoyance but that wasn’t relevant at this point in time. “C’mon you didn’t just come here to ignore the showers” he said trying to get this back on track.
"I just cam here to the party for the drugs Not here to make a friend or fall in love"
It was a fact the kiss was not as long as Charani would have liked. A kiss was a kiss thought and he was happy in the moment at the very least. He was still in control enough to smirk after he stuttering and feeble attempts by Aiden to defend himself. It’s not like they weren’t both there last night.
“I’m just messing with ya.” Charani said with a small hum as he tried to go in for another kiss. Longer than the previous one hopefully. He desired contact. He also wanted to shower. Both sounded like good options so why not combine them. Right? Correct.
“Nope. I think, given your performance last night, this is an acceptable amount of eager.” Charani would try to slowly tug their connected bodies closer to the shower. They’d just need to undress and of course go into the actual shower of course. He wondered how comfortable it was. Well he’d find out soon. His current plan was to be on his knees but hey that’s inappropriate. A penguin with a fade to black sign glares as I write this.
“You’re right though. So let’s get in.”
He, like usual, was trying to lead the red haired boy into another situation that was... well without clothes. He seemed to be very eager to have his newfound ship without them. Damn horny teens. The shower was still warm so better get a move on.

[attr="class","a1scroll"] Aiden’s eyebrows knitted together as he began to frown before his eyes close as Charani moved closer to him. The briefest of annoyances melt away and his hand moved up to hold the back of the boy’s neck before they art. He’s a little dizzy and the steam isn’t doing him any favors. He busied himself clumsily pulling off his shirt and staring at his feet under the brunette’s praise. “Get in already.” He returned simply as the pair stumbled through undressing and fitting in the small shower. He was, yet again, genuinely taken aback at the boy. Perhaps no matter the environment, nothing could really stop a teenager from figuring out things on their own like this. As isolated as Charani was he’d gotten his knowledge from somewhere despite all odds and religious affiliation. It flustered him, but he got the feeling that it was Charani’s favorite part about the whole thing. ‘Alright, horndog, just get in the shower. I’m getting sleepy again in the steam.’ He said ushering the boy with a kiss on the back of his neck. [break][break]
With care of the small space, he followed in after. He didn’t know exactly how much they’d be able to accomplish in such a small space. If anything, It might just make the task of showering even longer, but who was he to argue this right now? He’d go along with anything at this point. After all the boy was heading back home tomorrow and who knew when he’d be able to see him again.
"I just cam here to the party for the drugs Not here to make a friend or fall in love"
With a gentle sigh and puff of his lips the brunette was laying on aiden emerson bed once again. But like with clothes on this time. No his clothes of course he had stolen from the great closet of ugly ass shit. But hey nobody was perfect. This was Aidens flaw. He was blind as hell. It was the only explanation for the plaid monstrosity of a sweater he was wearing. Yellow plaid too.
“Hmm. We should go soon or I won’t be able to leave your bed.” Charani huffed as he snuggled into the pillow Aiden hadn’t drooled on last night. His bed was warm and so much more comfortable than those at the convent. He wondered what actual rich people’s pillows felt like? Maybe clouds or something just as soft? Clouds are soft right? Who knows.
“Maybe we can get something cold. My jaw is kind of sore.” We just gonna leave it at that because y’all know what he means. Ya nasty. Plus he really wanted ice cream. It sounded so good. Cotton candy flavored or something just as sweet. Just as sweet as himself obviously. Ahahaha. He reached out his arms to Aiden as he was laying on the bed as if making a give me motion.
“I didn’t think this through. I think I need help getting up.”
He hadn’t planned on his body being this... sore? Was that this feeling he had? Maybe. His legs felt like jelly under him sometimes or at the very least weaker than they normally were. His lower back felt tight and abused from both the... activities and the cramped space of the shower they were done in.

Aiden shoved drawers closed and kicked things on the floor into a closet before pulling something sitting haphazardly on his wardrobe and pulling it on. Unlike his guest, he was far less pick of what he grabbed, and was uninterested in even grabbing the same color of sock as he sat down on the edge of the bed to pull them on. He glanced over at Charani before offering, “You can stay if you’d like. It shouldn’t take me too long.” He also didn’t really want to go preferring to orbit around Charani. Aiden was still flushed from the heat of the moment, choosing to throw on a ratty t shirt and ripped jeans form yesterday. He could hear a bit of noise on the windowpane and figured it was raining today. Even more of a reason not to leave, but he was already dressed to go. “I can bring you an extra quilt.” He added as he leaned over the body whispering as he rested his chest on the boy’s side for a moment. He was feeling, incredibly lazy after the past day. Just about ready to close his eyes and go back to sleeping. [break][break]
He closed his eyes for a moment humming as he felt the other boy breath before sitting up immediately, not wanting to think too hard about why exactly he was so tired in the first place but remembering Charani’s inability to ever stop nudging his thoughts in that direction. Most likely because of reactions like this. “Right! Sure, ice cream or something!!” he stated as he popped to his feet, eyes staring ahead. Aiden turned back nervously, chewing the inside of his cheek as Charani attempted to get himself up. It didn’t seem like he’d stay, which was unfortunate as Aiden didn’t plan on carrying the diviner, especially in the rain. [break][break]
Aiden let out a small snort, turning around to lend a hand. He reached over, interlocking his fingers with Charani’s while sliding the other hand under the boy’s butt to help pull him up to his feet quickly. His hand would slide away to wrap onto the brunette’s hip as he helped steady him. “How’s this? Can you stand?” he asked as he held the other boy. A memory resurfaced, by far the strangest one yet. A flash of scales and princely attire, and a really bad waltz as the pair bickered slightly.
