As the sun drifts down to kiss the surface of the West Salem Sea, so to does silence slowly fall upon Downtown Sundial. Many return home exhausted, having dealt with more rampant rose growth, unnaturally clingy strangers, and pestering cupids than anyone could reasonably be expected to tolerate in one day.
[break][break]Thankfully, no one was seriously physically hurt by the fiasco (though the wellbeing of their dignity is another matter), and the events of the day generated more publicity than the festival would have otherwise been able to spark on its own. Gifts and gift cards have distributed to any festival-goers whom the festival planners could find as means of a formal apology. The culprit(s) who planted the mischievous potions are still at large, but the Helios Knights, rather than the small business merchant's coalition, are now working the case.
[break][break]But that is a problem for another day. For now, however briefly, the city is at peace.

Although we're posting the rewards now, you will have until 12AM GMT on March 15, when the shop updates, to continue making event posts which count towards your reward. This way, if you'd like to claim your rewards early to be used on the current shop inventory, you can do so. However, please note that once you claim your rewards, no further posts from your character will count towards increased event rewards. Also note that no new event missions can be created from this point forward. (Non-mission event threads are still acceptable)
[break][break]
All participants who made at least one post have received the following gold and choice of the following one-time-use potions (one potion per event post, with a max of 5)
[break][break]
[break][break]In addition to the above, anyone who met the requirement of 3 event posts will receive the following gold/AP, as well as their choice of one of the following spells or items (like in the shop, anything with an * can be selected as a one-time-use item if outside your character's affinity):

[attr="class","stafftempitem"] APHRODITE’S DUST*[break] A potion that enhances the beauty of the user, making them radiate a magical and gorgeous aura. Unfortunately, it also makes monsters highly attracted to the witch. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"] COSMECEUTICAL APPLICATIONS: HAIR DYE SCROLL*[break] Sarah Glatzer runs one of the most popular salons for witches in Sundial. In a rather abnegated attempt at teaching witches of all ages and orientations how to care for their appearances, she published a book full of recipes for different concoctions that are sure to beautify even the ugliest duckling. All the potions in this book are patented and cannot be sold by anyone but her business, but Miss Glatzer encourages all witches to try brewing them at home. While illusionists may choose to change their appearance at will, the less fortunate witches are forced to recur to less practical alternatives. Hair dying potions may be fairly easy to brew, but this scroll offers a base recipe that does not only last longer than most commercial hair dyes. However it also has little impact on the a more sensitive person’s scalp. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"] THE ALCHEMIST'S TRADE: HEART OF CUPID*[break] Once used, the witch that the victim lays eyes upon will become their object of intense obsession, love, desire, etc for a limited time. |

[attr="class","stafftempitem"] ALCHEMY - THE ALCHEMIST'S TRADE: HEART OF CUPID*[break] Once used, the witch that the victim lays eyes upon will become their object of intense obsession, love, desire, etc for a limited time. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"] ALCHEMY - EVERHART’S ELIXIRS #2: FLASK OF ENDURANCE*[break] When ingested by the witch, it enhances their overall pain tolerance considerably, pushing themselves to perform feats otherwise thought of as unlikely. Like with the rest, caution is advised when using this: while the witch may not feel the strain of pushing themselves that far, they are likely to feel its effects as soon as the elixir wears off. Inexperienced witches typically injure themselves far more than experienced users who know where their limits are. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"] ALCHEMY - VIAL OF THE MORNING LOTUS*[break] Grants instant energy and a quick supply of mana to a fatigued or drowsy witch. Use amounts that are within reason. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"] ATHENEUM - BIOLOGICAL METRICS[break] This scroll allows the athenian to observe data about living organisms' internal biological processes, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and breathing levels. In the hands of a knowledgable athenian, it can be used for medical observation or to help discern someone's true emotions. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"] AUGMENTATION - AUGETE: CRESCO (BAS)[break] One of the few surviving scrolls that were retrieved from the ruins of the coven that founded augmentation, this scroll dabbles in increasing the rate of growth of organic matter. It was created to originally quickly ripen ingredients for alchemy and this version of the scroll mainly deals with ripening herbs, force-growing trees or others. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"] CRAFTING - PRANKS FOR DUMMIES - MATTEO STYLE: CONFETTI BOMB*[break] Created by Matteo Garcia, this mini journal/handbook is a collection of machine ideas more suited towards pranking - with possibilities of being used in battle, however unlikely that may be. This blueprint shows how to make a device which looks exactly like a bomb. However, when it explodes, it releases confetti. The device is spherical in shape, with a fuse which can be lit. The timer allows for ten seconds before it explodes, so be careful! Rather useful for parties - or possibly distractions. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"] DIVINATION - PALM INSCRIPTION[break] By touching and examining another person's palm, a seer can see certain fates linked to that person. Less known, however, is that by rubbing an inscription into their palm, the seer is also able to alter these fates (albeit slightly) by giving the person good or bad luck. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"] ILLUSION - OURAN’S ENTRANCE[break] Life imitates fiction, and this spell is yet another that follows this. A rather zealous fan practiced and failed many a time to perfect this illusionary blooming spell. Ouran's Entrance is an illusion best cast as an entrance as the title suggests. While traditionally it uses blooming roses and falling rose petals like the source it was based off, others adapt the spell to use other flowers or even other objects in general. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"] ENCHANTMENT - MIRROR LINKING*[break] This scroll teaches the witch how to enchant a pair of mirrors to create a two-way communication device. The reflection of one mirror is shown on the surface of the other, and vice versa, allowing communication between them. The distance for which they are effective is determined by the strength of the witch who created them. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"] PLANTSHAPING - FORCE BLOOM[break] In the wrong hands this technique can lead to an early death for plants, but with the right timing and proper care, it is integral to keeping a plant healthy and happy in trying times. A good plantshaper knows when to force a bloom and prepare the plant in question for a storm or other hardship. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"] PURIFICATION - OF SOUND MIND[break] This scroll is especially effective at cleansing a target of any spells which are influencing their mind and emotions. Any particularly extreme emotions experienced by the target are mitigated to more managable levels. Advanced casters may be able to cast this on multiple targets at once. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"] RUNESCRIPTING - 100 MOST USEFUL RUNES, SCROLL #19: EHWAZ[break] Ehwaz, meaning 'Horse' and more commonly called the 'trust rune', is associated with trust, teamwork, and positive relations. It is typically included in arrays centered around improving one's likeability, persuasiveness, or attractiveness, or establishing bonds with animals. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"] SPELLSINGING - SONG OF THE SIREN[break] This scroll was created by the madame of a prominent brothel back in the day as a means to keep the money flowing. The witch pours mana into their vocal chords and uses certain frequencies to stimulate the intended targets brain in order to release certain chemicals and neurotransmitters to stimulate deep infatuation. Also called the magic roofie this song has the unintended side effect of affecting short term memory creating a blackout effect in the victim from the point of ensnarement until the effects dissipate. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"] STARCALLING - WRITTEN IN THE STARS[break] At night and when the skies are clear, starcallers with this ability are able to influence the cosmos themselves, brightening or dimming certain stars to create meaningful messages for all to see. Granted, not all understand the meaning behind stars and constelations, so this is usually used to communicate with other starcallers or some diviners. When many starcallers attempt to express the same message at the same time, they can turn normally dim stars into beacons or make entire constellations appear to vanish. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"] SUMMONING - SKYWARD SUMMONING: CHOIR OF HEAVEN[break] The caster summons a beautiful melody, granting those who hear it a sense of peace, calm, and elevation of mental exhaustion and fatigue. Fledgling summoners are often are only able to effect a small radius and cannot selectively choose who this affects or doesn't affect, whereas master summoners have been known to calm entire riots. The strength of this scroll, too, is dependent on the skill of the witch. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"] TRANSFIGURATION - BEASTS AND BECOMING, SCROLL #4[break] This scroll contains detailed lists of various kinds of ears, allowing the seasoned witch to replace ears of monsters, themselves, and other witches alike with more proficient ears - or ones less proficient if so inclined. As a result, it is a scroll with varied uses but quite challenging to cast properly (as with all transfiguration skills). |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"] WEAVING - RED STRING: EMOTIONS[break] A series of scrolls which most weavers learn prior to attempting the more advanced "Intangible" series, the Red String teaches weavers how to move intangible concepts through a physical thread. By tying each end of a string to two different living creatures, the emotions of these creatures will then flow freely between each other for as long as the link of the thread remains intact. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"] GENERAL - COLOUR PSYCHOLOGY SCROLL[break] For a brief moment, the user can see an aura surrounding all living things. Its color varies depending on each living thing's current mood. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"] GENERAL - TEAM SPIRIT[break] When multiple witches have access to this skill, they may mentally speak to each other over distances. However, communications lines may get wonky if the distance is stretched too far. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"] FIRE TECHNIQUE - WARMTH[break] Another simple creation; the witch can warm the the general area. With training, the witch can increase the parameters and strength of the technique. A fledgling may only warm the room or their hands, but very strong witches may be able to warm whole buildings and towns if they so wanted to. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"] EARTH TECHNIQUE - CRYSTAL SHARD[break] The witch gathers crystalline minerals from the ground and brings them to the surface. By pouring mana into these small crystal structures the witch promotes the healing of those bathed in the crystal's light. While it cannot heal physical injuries, it promotes mana and stamina regeneration by attracting mana from the earth around them and giving it off in waves. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"] WATER TECHNIQUE - HEALING SPRING[break] The witch can now spread crystal-clear and sparkling water over wounds to aid healing. It helps relieve pain and remove bruises, but deep cuts or open wounds can be otherwise troublesome to deal with. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"] AIR TECHNIQUE - BREATHLESS[break] This teqhnique causes the air in an area to become thin, making it more difficult to take full breaths. Inexperienced witches will likely only be able to influence a small area, and often succumb to the effects of this spell themselves. As they become more experienced, their range of influence, precision of effect, and severity of the air loss all increase. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"] ITEM - CUPID'S WINGS[break] These small white wings are magically enchanted to attach at the shoulder blade and allow the wearer to fly. Although they aren't as fast as a broom, their compact nature makes them highly maneuverable (after learning to use them properly, of course). |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"] ITEM - LIMITED EVENT ITEM GIFT CARD (x5)[break] As an apology for the chaos caused at their event, the merchant guild has been handing out gift cards like candy. These gift cards will each get you one free item from Kiki's limited edition shop. These will not be valid after the shop changes stock, and cannot be exchanged for gold. |
