The spear is golden in color with a jeweled stem with a mana focusing crystal. The spear can project lightning from the end by the user infusing their mana into the crystal. Those who can use actual lightning magic will project far stronger attacks than those who cannot doubling its strength. It is otherwise a normal sturdy weapon. By infusing their mana into the crystal the witch can create an effect similar to an air slice spell. Those with the wind affinity will find their spell to be twice as strong as those of another affinity. The fan can also strengthen any other wind spells the witch may possess. name of technique: Crystal Prison affinity: Earth description: Requires the crystallize skill. The witch raises crystals or throws crystals onto the ground around a target to encircle them. Creates a mana barrier using the crystals as a focal point. The prison is not visible unless struck. Will cause a mild shock and knock back to anyone who tries to escape. If crystals are broken or moved to far away the prison will be destroyed. modification permission: yee
name of technique: Hair Master affinity: Ice description: Witch uses ice to harden their hair or other similar fibers (scarves, cloth, etc) to the level of steel to block attacks or use as a weapon. Name come from a witch who would harden her hair into spears and manipulate them to impale her opponents. modification permission: yee
name of technique: Rocket Blast affinity: Fire description: The witch dispels mana from their hands or feet to propel themselves or slow the descent of their body like a human rocket. Using for long periods of time has been known to cause severe burns and/or mana exhaustion. modification permission: yee
name of technique: Rein Dog: Devour affinity: Darkness description: The witch creates a large black dog with their magic which devours any heat or light based spells such as fire magic or light magic and reprocesses it into mana for the creator. Requires touch with the witch to give stored mana and it will release stored mana into the area if destroyed. modification permission: yee

name of scroll: Solid Mana: Hexagon Shield affinity: Enchanting description: This scroll teaches witches how to enchant the mana in their surroundings to create hexagonal barriers by manipulating the density and distribution of mana particles within their environment. It requires advanced control of mana manipulation to create a proper shield that won’t break in a single hit. The more mana rich the environment the easier and stronger the base spell will be. modification permission: yep!
name of scroll: Time Delay: Purification Freeze affinity: Purification description: The witch instead of purifying a spell can instead temporarily delay its activation. To the outside perspective it looks essentially the same. Their mana is used to cause the spell mechanism to slow down to a near halt for a set amount of time before it reactivates. Often used in torture to temporarily relieve curses used on captured enemies for information.. modification permission: yep!
name of scroll: Acid Spit affinity: Transfiguration description: The user can change the structure of their saliva to have highly acidic properties when ejected from the mouth. The acidity is dependent on the amount of mana used and can be enhanced through artificial means like spicy foods, potions, and other similar things. Otherwise it works like normal spit and is limited to the same range and amount of normal spit. modification permission: yep!
name of scroll: Advanced Starcalling: Milky Way affinity: Starcalling description: This scroll creates a large field of floating stardust around the user that rotates around their area of influence. Upon contact with a biological organism the orbs of stardust will violently detonate. name of scroll: Advanced Starcalling: Andromeda Galaxy affinity: Starcalling description: A large amount of stardust is collected into one spot creating a highly dense and highly pressurized clump of stardust. By using their mana the witch can ignite the ball of stardust as to create a miniature sun. This object increases all other starcalling and sun based Magic’s like some light or plant magic. This black liquid produces violent bright blue flames upon contact with enemy witches. The flames are said to be powerful enough to burn the unprepared to ash in a matter of seconds, but this has obviously never been proven in academically acceptable studies. The potion is only effective on witches and familiars, and will do nothing on enemy wildlife or wraiths.

They are usually tunneling beneath the sands, but will come up to eat anything large enough to make detectable tremors. While shifted into this creature, the witch will be able to utilize the light technique "Single Shot" infused with the skill "Ultraviolet Light"

These large, subterranean dragons have glistening scales which resemble crystals. They have strong jaws and claws, but cannot fly for more than a few short moments. While shifted into this creature, the witch will be able to utilize the earth technique "Lift" on regular earth, metal, and crystal.

While shifted into this creature, the witch will be able to utilize the fire technique "Call of the Dragon" to breathe fire.

This scroll allows the transfigurer to shift themselves into the form of an atronach of their own element. These beings are humanoid in shape, but comprised entirely of an elemental substance. While shifted, the witch's elemental magic strength is greatly enhanced, though other affinity spells cast by them will be less effective.

FORBIDDEN MUTATIONS: ARM OF THE MIMICADV
Scroll - Transfiguration
The existence of wraiths has always seemed to be in absolute conflict with humanity, and, as such, any magic involving wraiths is both highly dangerous and illegal. Use spells from this tome with great caution, and well outside the influence of witch cities. This spell causes one of the caster's arms (or legs, if they prefer) to take the shape of a mimic -- which is to say, no permanent shape at all. The affected limb will be able to change its shape, composition, and size at will, easily changing from a metal shield to a darting vine of thorns in the blink of an eye. Additionally, elemental spells, whether they be helpful or harmful, will have a greatly lessened effect on this limb. The limb will have a feeling of wrongness to the witch and feel painful at the point where it connects to the rest of the body, but this is to be expected when humans use magic they were never meant to have.

The existence of wraiths has always seemed to be in absolute conflict with humanity, and, as such, any magic involving wraiths is both highly dangerous and illegal. Use spells from this tome with great caution, and well outside the influence of witch cities. This spell allows a witch to shift their familiar into the shape of a hellhound. For as long as the familiar is shifted, neither the witch nor familiar will be able to use their elemental magic, but they will be granted the use of atheneum spells "Hivemind" and "Biological Metrics" at the cost of no additional spell slots. Be warned, maintaining this shift for an extended duration will degrade the mental health and stability of the familiar, and they will also be linked to the minds of other actual hellhounds, who will eagerly come to welcome it into their swarm.

Scroll - Crafting SYN Can synthesize as REUSABLE items
Based upon another witch's design, this weapon is basically just a handle with mana amplifying crystals and circuitry. When the witch pours mana into this handle, it can create a blade made of mana which is hot enough to slice through metal. It requires constant mana to remain active, though more talented crafters can lessen the mana burden with more energy-efficient designs. There is also usually a switch on the side that controls the blade length by altering the maximum mana input.

This scroll is intended to be cast on non-organic objects. It increases the object's ability to absorb wave energy, to the point where it blocks out all light and sound. It is a useful augment to put on any sort of ear protection, or a confounding augment to use on an enemy's eyeware.

Combat can be filled with clashing swords, bursting explosions, and no shortage of screaming -- certainly nothing good for maintaining healthy eardrums. These ear protectors fit snugly around the ears, encompassing them entirely to protect them from auditory harm, whether it be mundane or magical. They can be made well enough to block sounds out entirely, but note that they can't differentiate between "good" and "bad" sounds -- all are muffled the same way.

Unfortunately related witches will often have similar mana signatures so newbie purifiers will have trouble telling the difference between them.

An aromatic bundle of herbs and other substances which clears the air of airborne diseases, toxins, or other harmful fumes. It also smells quite nice. Witches who work in medical fields will sometimes place these in plague doctor masks to protect themselves from catching anything.

MELD CARTILAGE

An oft-overlooked spell with a few niche applications, this allows the transfigurer to alter and fuse small areas of cartilage in living beings. In humans, this can be used to seal up ears and nostrils to impede the senses, or to expel enchanted earrings from their earlobes.

MANA PLUG

This spell is a highly focused variant of the latter "Spatial Scrollbook" volumes. It essentially makes a wine cork sized plug which can stop up small openings. This allows the witch to plug up a target's sense of smell or hearing with mana, or to stop a leak in a barrel while something more physical is being found to repair it.

INTO THIN AIR
Scroll - Illusion
This illusion masks the presence of smokes and vapors, from their visual appearance, to their scent, to any variance in temperature they may have. They appear as nothing more or less than clear air. This can also be applied to magical puffs of smoke, such as that from a "Blinking Scroll" to make the user appear to fade away like a ghost.

INTO SHADOWADV
Scroll - Alchemy SYN Can synthesize as LIMITED USE items
Drinking this potion causes the person who consumed it and any material directly touching them to fade away and disintegrate into a gaseous state. It looks a bit like the person fades into the form of a ghost just before bursting into scattering ashes. The witch can control their direction of movement while in this state, though may be blown off course by wind. Though the duration is primarily determined by the way the potion is brewed, the one who drank it can usually will their body back together if they want to end it early.
name of scroll: Combat Blueprint 015: Manarang affinity: Crafting description: This scroll teaches crafters to create a boomerang like weapon. The weapon is charged to follow a certain mana trail by absorbing mana from a target through touch and storage of the mana crystal in the center and seeking out the like mana if it is nearby. It is sort of a heat seeking missile version of a boomerang. Placing some of the users own mana into it as well allows for it the be throwing and come back to the user. modification permission: yep!
name of scroll: Combat Blueprint 016: Paint Bomb affinity: Crafting description: Based on the paint bombs of the Jesters Den Paint War this paint ball has a tiny mana crystal in the center allowing for timed explosions and a stronger blast than that of the rather harmless bombs used for the festival. It also isn’t uncommon for it the paint to be laced with other liquids making it great for alchemists to spread their substances. modification permission: yep!
name of scroll: Corpse Regeneration: Cannibalize affinity: Necromancy description: This scroll teaches the necromancy to use deceased bodies as fuel for mana. The witch places their hands on a deceased target and cannibalizes any cells left post mortem to fuel their own mana regeneration. The closer to death the more mana is able to be regenerated as more material is present. modification permission: yep!
name of scroll: Eyes of the Reaper affinity: Necromancy description: This scroll teaches the witch to use corpses as a medium of far sight or spying. By placing their mana into a corpse they can use their mana to see in their mind whatever the corpse is currently viewing. The spells strength depends on the current degeneration of the body as newer bodies eyes will be less damaged than those that are long dead. modification permission: yep!
name of scroll: Corpse Bomb affinity: Necromancy description: A useful form of trap the witch places a contained sphere of high violent mana into a corpse that will explode upon meeting a certain condition. The condition is set upon activation and requires a simple directive such as a distance limit or number of interactions or a set time to activate. Complex directions will often cause the spell to be improperly set causing it to fail to explode or explode randomly. modification permission: yep!
name of scroll: Skill: Virulent affinity: Necromancy description: This halves the mana and material requirement of atronach and golem like spells used by a Necromancy allowing for slightly weaker but much more numerous use of the undead. name of scroll: Scythe of the Reaper affinity: Necromancy description: This scroll teaches the witch to create weapons of corpse bones with the most famous being that of a handheld scythe or sickle used by the old serial killer known as The Reaper. The weapon can be sharpened to steel quality based on the strength of the witch and amount of bone present. modification permission: yep!
name of scroll: Manapire affinity: Necromancy description: A powerful spell that can bring the recently dead back under the Necromancers power. The witch brought back can not generate mana on their own as a result of the spell and must drain mana from others in order to remain “alive”. Elemental magic is no longer usable and affinity based magic is weakened by one rank for their second affinity. Once they run out of mana their body will not be able to move. Death of the witch who created the manapire will result in the death of the manapire. They will otherwise remain “alive”. modification permission: yep!

name of technique: Total Concentration Breathing affinity: Air description: The witch uses mana to the augment their oxygen intake and lung capacity for a short duration. This allows for the witch to hold their breath for a long period of time. It can also be used to increase their heart rate and speed of their reflexes because of this increased oxygen in their body. modification permission: yee
name of technique: Afraid of the Dark affinity: Darkness description: The witch adds a fear curse to their darkness attacks. Increases likelihood of weak enemies fleeing and of enemies freezing in a fight. modification permission: yee

A potion meant to counteract the effects of a variety of poisons. Its effectiveness depends both on the skill of the alchemist who made it and the potency of the toxin which it’s attempting to counteract. In many cases, the negative effects are merely mitigated rather than healed completely.

SALVE OF REGENERATIONADV

A chemically complex, yet incredibly potent salve which can be used to regenerate lost limbs. It is a slow and painful recovery process, and the healed limb will start with much less strength than it did before it was lost. This is best used within a day or so of the limb being lost, but may be applied to good effect much later if the alchemist is particularly skilled.

REVERSE DAMAGEMAS
Scroll - Purification
One of the most draining spells in a purifier’s repertoire, this spell can undo the damaging effects that another spell has left on a person. For example, cuts made from a blade made of magical air, or a sickness caused by an alchemical poison could be undone and effectively healed. Some knowledge of the spell that was used is needed for this spell to be effective, and it is best used within an hour of the damaging spell’s contact. Be warned that damage from something like a magically enchanted blade will only be partially undone, as only the portion of the damage caused by magic will be reversed. Furthermore, this spell cannot reverse death.

BLOODROOT
Scroll - Plantshaping SYN Can synthesize as LIMITED USE items
By magically augmenting a small sapling, it can be made to seal up an open wound when it comes in contact with blood. The plant will stitch up the wound with its roots, and release chemicals to reduce the person’s pain. The plant will eventually detach itself from the person when the wound is fully healed, but this sometimes takes days. Removing the plant forcefully will, unfortunately, tear the wound back open.

NECTAR OF LIFEADV

By nourishing certain plants with mana-rich soil and water, they can be made to produce a special nectar which promotes healing when consumed. This nectar can heal moderate physical injuries as well as viral and bacterial illnesses, but is usually too slow to heal major injuries.

A stronger variation of the general spell "protego", this shield magic can be formed in front of another witch or oneself at the cost of the witch’s mana. The spell draws power from the caster, so the shield weakens the farther away it is from the caster.

The wool has the property of the weaving spell Repel Thread allowing it to repel most basic level ranged magic. The wool however is very susceptible to fire based magic and will not repel it taking double the usual damage. name of scroll: The Modern Dreamwalker #2 affinity: Divination description: A re-written scroll from the original Urusla's "The Dreamwalker" - this one pertains to connecting the dreams of two or more sleeping individuals into a shared dream. It requires an object of each target as well as them to be sleeping. When used it combines any existing dreams together and dumps the witches into the strongest dream currently in progress. Like the first scroll those within the dream have no ability to alter the dream parameters and are subject to all established rules of the dream. It requires the person using the spell to be within close proximity to the dreamer. Enables the use of a limited use potion as if it was a reusable potion for a single thread.
